Lukas Mäder

Born 1978 in St. Gallen and raised near Lake Constance. Studied German language and literature, Eastern European history and computer science at the University of Zurich. During this time, worked as a freelance journalist for various publications. Licentiate in 2007 with a thesis on Yugoslavian labour migration to Switzerland and a traineeship in the foreign section of the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung". Then news editor at ".ch", from 2008 responsible for federal politics at "20 Minuten Online" and later head of the politics department. In 2013, he moved to Radio SRF4News as an editor and producer, where he set up and presented the discussion programme "Politikum" on the session of the Federal Assembly. From 2017, worked for the NZZ in the Federal Parliament and as domestic editor. Move to the Science and Technology department as editor for digitalisation topics in November 2020.
