Try fast, fail fast, learn fast

The X.Days Talk was held with Ernst Roth (Local Division Head of Robotics & Motion, ABB Switzerland), Claudia Pletscher (Head of Development and Innovation & Member of the extended Executive Management, Swiss Post), Dr. Christian Keller (Chairman of the Executive Board, IBM Switzerland Ltd.) and Urs Schaeppi (CEO, Swisscom AG). The speakers agree about the importance of being open-minded towards trying out new things and to learn out of potential failures. “Try fast, fail fast, learn fast”, quotes Schaeppi. Keller additionally stresses the importance of defining the extent of this process. Roth’s opinion is to bring attention to the importance of a strong spirit of innovation and trained employees. Pletscher states that technology and digitalisation open new opportunities to generate added value for customers. Wishes for the future are openness and trust in new technologies, innovation spirit, training for employees and no fear from your own courage.
