“If you’re skeptical about hiring a hacker, you will need us” Ymir Vigfússon starts the first keynote speech of the day. At the age of sixteen, the Icelandic cyber-security-specialist successfully managed to hack one of the biggest cyber systems in the world. “It all goes down to education,” commenting on how to be safe in the cyber world. The assistant professor started teaching his students how to hack to know how to protect themselves. On being asked about the threats of the Turkish hacker group Vigfússon comments: “Companies get ransomed and lots of them keep quiet and pay. This should not be hushed. Everyone gets hacked and we need to openly talk about it.”
